The Red Stripe Package can only be ordered on White or Black Shelby GT-500s and is limited to only 300 units. The package consists of red over-the-top stripes, red GT-500 rocker stripes, red cobra snake & red Shelby emblems on the exterior, red seat inserts, the GT-500 premium interior package, and a full Shelby badged car cover. Convertibles make up less than 25% of production of the Shelby GT 500's for that year. The Legendary 5.4L supercharged v8 appears first in the Ford GT supercar before being revised for use the GT500 a few years later. In this application it produces 500hp and 480lb-ft of torque. The GT500 also receives the very stout Tremec TR-6060 6-speed over the standard Mustangs 5-speed transmission.
