This 1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 shows just 14,823 miles and is finished in Bright Red over a red leather interior. This vehicle retains its factory paint and has no modifications from stock. Power comes from an LT5 DOHC V8, which features an aluminum block and is backed by a ZF 6-speed manual transmission. These engines were co-developed between GM and Lotus before being built by MerCruiser in Oklahoma. Two removable roof panels are included along with the original Goodyear Eagle tires, factory brochures, purchase paperwork, Original Cashiers Check, and the original window sticker. The Bright Red (81U) paint is believed to be all original, with no known history of any accidents or paintwork. Standard features included rack and pinion power steering, heated side mirrors, halogen fog lamps, Bosch ABS, and more. The factory alloy wheels wear Goodyear Eagle F1 tires measuring 315mm in the rear and 275mm up front. The original tires are included with the sale, along with a matching red targa top and a glass top. Selective ride control light comes on intermittently, common problem on these ZR-1's. All stock red leather interior with all gauges, switches, and electronics in working condition. The quad-cam 5.7-liter LT5 V8 was designed by Lotus and produced 375 hp and 370 lb-ft when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF 6-speed manual transmission. The original window sticker shows the ZR-1 special performance package, a $27,056 option. ZR-1 branded briefcase with original owners name and cars vin denoting that is the briefcase for this car.   5/4/19 install a 9.5K Ohms resistor in the VATS (Vehicle Anti Theft System) wire which is under the dash and above the gas pedal. Porsche went to great lengths to improve the 968 from the 944 S2 from the sprung and rubber damped flywheel to absorb the buzzing and tremors characteristic of the big 3.0L 4cyl and the new 6 speed trans-axle over the 944’s 5 speed. This was also the return of exposed headlights to go online with the rest of the model range at the time. The 968 revised the 3.0 engine with better valve springs, forged connecting rods, and added oil sprayers to cool the pistons. Touted as being the “World's Best-Handling Car” in 1993 the 968 is one of the best 4 cylinder sports cars on the market.
